LEWISTON – May E. Jordan, 94, of Auburn, died June 18, peacefully at Central Maine Medical Center, with her family by her side.

She was born in Lisbon, on April 10, 1914, the daughter of Lincoln and Myrtle (Clark) Bowie.

She grew up in Lisbon, but lived most of her life in Auburn. She worked in local shoe shops in the Auburn area.

She was a woman with a beautiful heart, always there to help family and friends. She will be truly missed.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Partridge and his wife, Charlene, and Leonard Partridge and his wife, Linda; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.

She was predeceased by her husband, William Jordan; brothers, Clifford, Douglas and Roland Bowie; one sister, Viola Wade; and one great-great-grandson, Joseph Partridge.

The family wishes to thank all the doctors, nurses and others who cared for our mother at Central Maine Medical Center. We appreciate all the care, kindness and time given to her and her family. We also wish to thank her friends at the Roak Block for being there for her; it meant a lot to her and her family.
