Andre Dion, 41, of Lewiston speaks with Auburn police officer Matthew Dailey and Sgt. Eric Audette after striking a pedestrian with his Saab at the intersection of Court and Pleasant streets in Auburn around 1 p.m. Wednesday. Police said Dion was driving in the left lane when a car in the right lane stopped to allow 55-year-old Sylvia Normand of Greene to cross at a crosswalk. Dion did not see Normand beyond the stopped car and struck her. Police said Normand was conscious and speaking with officers at the scene but was taken to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Lewiston and released after treatment.
