AUBURN – Jeannine Carmen Ellis of Monmouth, born to Armand and Lucienne Caron on Nov. 3, 1938, passed away Tuesday, June 24, in Auburn.

She was married to Jeffrey Ellis for 31 years. She attended Lewiston schools and worked in various shoe factories. She was also a skilled nurses’ aid and spent many years in the community caring for the elderly. She later became a full-time housewife.

She loved to be outside and enjoyed boating, fishing, hunting, water skiing and also had a gift with gardening skills. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making people laugh. She enjoyed spending time with her two dogs.

She is survived by her loving husband, Jay, who took amazing care of her during her long illness; two daughters and their husbands, Diane and Bert Dugal of McKinney, Texas, and Linda and Gary Adler of South Paris; two sons, Timmy Berube and wife, Michelle, of Auburn and Norman Berube; six grandchildren, Jason Ouellette, Amy Ouellette, Kyle Levasseur, Ashley Caron and Spencer and Timothy Berube; her father, Armand Caron and his wife, Aimee; a sister, Rita Laliberte and husband, Richard; two brothers, Gerard Caron and wife, Mary and Roger Caron and wife, Bridget; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her mother, Lucienne Rancourt Caron; and a brother, Roland Caron.
