FRANKLIN, Tenn. (AP) – Mindy McCready has been arrested in Tennessee and charged with violating her probation.
Authorities accuse the 32-year-old country singer of falsifying her community service records.
Williamson County Sheriff’s Department officer Charlotte Spencer said McCready turned herself in Monday, posted the $5,000 bond and was released two hours later.
She is on probation for a 2004 drug charge.
A corrections official said McCready will go before the judge who sentenced her, and he will decide what action to take, if any.
She had a No. 1 single in 1996 with “Guys Do It All the Time.”
McCready made the news last month after it was revealed she had an affair with baseball star Roger Clemens.
