LEWISTON – King’s Bridge Theatre will hold auditions for “Rehearsal For Murder,” a two-act murder mystery from 6 to 9 p.m. Friday, July 18, and from 9 a.m. until noon Saturday, July 19, at Vineyard Auditorium.

Everyone believed that the death of lovely Monica Welles was a suicide. Everyone except her fiancé, the playwright Alex Dennison, that is. Exactly one year to the day after Dennison’s previous production ended with her death, he hires an empty theater, reassembling the cast for the reading of a new play. D.D. Brookes’ adaptation of Richard Levinson and William Link’s award-winning teleplay unfolds in a surprising, captivating, multilayered plot to catch a murderer.

“Rehearsal For Murder,” directed by KBT Artistic Director Robbi Starnegg, will be presented Sept. 26 to Oct. 4.

The cast breakdown is as follows:

Alex Dennison: 30 to 45 years old, a playwright. He is attractive, intelligent, forceful, charming, witty and sophisticated.

Sally Bean: in her 20s, Alex’s secretary. She is a very bright, but naïve girl.

Bella Lamb: 40 to 50 years old, the producer. She is elegant, dry witted and slightly sarcastic.
