AUBURN – Shirley Elizabeth (Pulsifer) LeMont, 92, of Harpswell, in later years a resident of The Lamp in Lisbon, died at the Hospice House on June 29.
She was born May 16, 1916, in Brunswick, the daughter of Paul and Lenora Pulsifer.
She enjoyed taking oil painting classes and being in a writing group. She also enjoyed being with her family, oil painting, gardening, etc.
She took care of a number of foster children; worked at the state hospital and then she ran a boarding home of ladies.
She is survived by a son, Thomas LeMont and his wife, Linda, of Eustis; daughters, Sandra (LeMont) Hickey and her husband, Russell, of Gardiner, Jane LeMont and Marilyn Enger of Brunswick and Dolly Luwisch and her husband, Henry (Hank), of Livingston, N.J.; 14 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; five great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Donald Pulsifer and his wife, Carol, of Lisbon Falls, Ronald Pulsifer and his wife, Rita, of Bowdoinham and Richard Pulsifer of Brunswick.
She was predeceased by her husband, John LeMont; son, Barry LeMont; granddaughter, Kelli LeMont Tufts; her parents, Paul and Lenora Pulsifer; brothers, Murray, Mahlon and Paul Pulsifer; and sisters, Ruth Pulsifer Morgan and Christine Pulsifer.
