WINTHROP – Virginia A. Raymond, 75, a resident of Sand River Road in Fayette, died Sunday, June 29, at the Heritage Rehabilitation and Living Center with her family at her side.

She was born on Oct. 21, 1932, in Livermore Falls, the daughter of Cleon Sr. and Vianah (Walker) Cook. She was a 1951 graduate of Livermore Falls High School.

On Aug. 3, 1953, she married Arthur Raymond at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. He passed away on Aug. 20, 1996. She worked for 16 years at Rosy’s Pizza in Livermore Falls as a manager and enjoyed her time there. She was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. She always looked forward to spending time with her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by two sons, Duane Raymond and his wife, Han, of Colorado Springs, Colo., and Dean Raymond and his wife, Beverly, of Kennebunk; three daughters, Darlene Naoum and her husband, Anthony, of Belgrade, Debbie Dalessandro and her husband, Ronald, of Leeds and Diane Raymond of Cape Cod, Mass.; three brothers, Cleon Cook Jr. and his wife, Betty, of Livermore, Bernal Cook and his wife, Carleen, of Westbrook and Gary Cook and his wife, Deb, of Georgetown, S.C.; 13 grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her parents; a sister, Eloise Roy; and a brother, Boyd Cook.
