Lakeside to meet

WALES – Lakeside Chapter 60, OES, will meet Tuesday, July 8, to celebrate a grand representative and patriotic theme for the evening. The meeting will begin at 7:30 p.m. at 322 Centre Road. All members are welcome. There will be light refreshments following the meeting.

Breastfeeding

AUBURN – Expectant women and breastfeeding mothers are invited to the La Leche League meeting to be held at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, July 9, at 102 Bennett Ave. Babies are welcome.

This month’s discussion, “Breastfeeding: Avoiding and Overcoming Difficulties,” will focus on concerns about preparing to nurse baby at birth and adjusting to babies’ changing needs.

All concerns about breastfeeding are welcome for discussion. For breastfeeding help or directions to the meeting, call the La Leche League leader at 782-6645.

Bridge winners

LEWISTON – The Lewiston-Auburn Social Bridge Club winners of the quarterly club championship on June 30 were: first, Richard Allen and Richard Balian; second, Lue Bilodeau and Rosemarie Goodwin; third, Cynthia Bonsey and Sue Kaluzynski.
