Savannah Sessions
Savannah Sessions, daughter of Clair and Stephen Sessions of Andover, received a bachelor’s degree from Smith College in Northampton, Mass., on May 18. A 2004 graduate of Oxford Hills Comprehensive High School, Sessions majored in anthropology at Smith.
Elizabeth Florence Dionne
Elizabeth Florence Dionne earned a bachelor of science in wildlife ecology from the University of Maine in Orono on May 10. She graduated with Latin honors, summa cum laude. Dionne was a member of the Society for Conservation Biology and the Student Chapter of the wildlife society scholastic honor society, Xi Sigma Pi.
She is working as a mammal field biologist in Riverside, Calif., for the MSHCP Biological Monitoring Program.
Dionne is the daughter of Maurice and Rita Dionne of Wales and granddaughter of Maurice and Bertha Dionne of Lewiston.
Katie Lauze
Katie Lauze of Lewiston was named to the dean’s list at the University of Maine in Orono with a grade point average of 3.69 for the spring semester. To be eligible a student must have a GPA of 3.3 or greater. She is currently a senior majoring in public management and communication.
Lauze is a member of the University Singers, the university’s touring choir that travels the world representing UMaine. She has returned from a 12-day concert tour to Italy/Sicily in May, performing the final concert in Rome.
Lauze is also a member of Renaissance, the premier female a capella group on campus, and Euphony, a 34-voice choir that specializes in innovative contemporary choral music, focusing on all a capella repertoire.
Lauze is the daughter of Peter and Elissa Lauze of Lewiston.
Anna E. Dunlap
Anna E. Dunlap of Farmington was among the students who received a degree at St. Lawrence University’s commencement on May 18 on campus in Canton, N.Y.
Dunlap graduated from Mt. Blue High School in Farmington and received a degree in biology and minored in English.
John W. Slattery
John W. Slattery of West Minot was among the students who received a degree at St. Lawrence University’s commencement ceremony on May 18 on campus in Canton, N.Y. Slattery graduated from Hebron Academy and received a degree cum laude in economics and government. Slattery earned departmental honors in economics at St. Lawrence.
Carole Rose LaPointe
Carole Rose LaPointe has been named to the dean’s list for the spring semester at the University of Southern Maine with a grade point average of 3.65. She is majoring in criminal justice and is a 2005 graduate of Rangeley Lakes High School. She is the daughter of James and Paula LaPointe of Rangeley and the granddaughter of Robert and Phyllis LaPointe of Bangor and George and Carole Haley of Rangeley.
Sarah B Vincent
Sarah B Vincent of Auburn has been named to named to Creighton University’s dean’s honor roll for the spring semester. Full-time students who earn a 3.5 grade point average or better on a 4.0 scale are eligible for the honor roll at the Omaha university.
Lindsey Estelle Brough
Lafayette College awarded a bachelor of science degree in civil and environmental engineering to Lindsey Estelle Brough of Durham during commencement in Easton, Pa., on May 24.
Endicott commencement
The 68th commencement exercises of Endicott College in Beverly, Mass., were held on May 17.
Jeremy Joseph Hamel, son of Christopher and Victoria Hamel of Industry, majored in computer science and received a bachelor of science degree.
Alyson Kathleen Keene, daughter of Eugene and Kathleen Keene of Auburn, majored in liberal studies and received a bachelor of arts degree.
