AUBURN – Harold Thomas Clark, 83, of Auburn, passed away July 1, at his home with his kids and grandchildren at his side.

He was born in Masardis, Dec. 15, 1924, the son of Thomas and Edith Clark. He was the owner and operator of Jack’s Garage, which his late wife, Elsie Clark, worked with him proudly.

He owned the company from 1956 to 2003 and started out at 61 Center St., where Pat’s Pizza is now located. He and his son and son-in-law, Ted, built the new garage at 8 Chasse St., Auburn, in November 1984 and started operating in January 1985. It is still in operation today and is run by his son-in-law, Ted.

He is survived by his children, Paul Clark of Lewiston, Roger Clark and wife, Debra, of Auburn, Helen Melanson and husband, Ted, of New Gloucester and Pamela Lewis of Auburn; 26 grandchildren; and 33 great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by his wife, Elsie; and son, Gary.

He will be sadly missed by his five children.
