AUBURN – Maxcy Turbide, 76, of Rumford, passed away Tuesday, July 1, at the Hospice House after a long illness.

She was born June 27, 1932, in Rumford, the daughter of Charles and Carlotta (Small) Ellis. She graduated from Dixfield schools.

On Oct. 5, 1951, she married Lionel Turbide Sr. and they made their home in Dixfield, where she worked as homemaker to husband and family.

She enjoyed Sunday drives and people watching.

She is survived by three sons, Lionel Turbide and his wife, Janice, of Casco, Larry Turbide of Lewiston and Brian Turbide and his wife, Jennifer, of Limerick; two daughters, Sue Skaggs and her husband, Michael, of Greene and Julie Gaudet of West Peru; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; and brothers and sisters.

She was predeceased by her husband, Lionel in November 1992; sons, Mike and Bruce Turbide; and a daughter, Becky Wing.
