There is a man living on Birch Street in Lewiston who spent weeks compiling a list of places where the hungry can find a helping hand in the Twin Cities. It was an assignment he gave himself, he told us, after being frustrated with arriving at a kitchen or food pantry for a meal and finding the days or times had been changed.

“Yes, I need the help, but I thought about taking that frustration out on getting the information,” and seeing that it was made available to the public. He doesn’t want people to know who he is, but he does want people to know about the information he gathered.

We offer you his list (and we added more), that is current as of June 25 to use yourself, to post on a church or community bulletin board, to pass around to neighbors, or provide to a family you know is in need.
