BRENTWOOD, N.H. (AP) – Prosecutors involved in the murder for hire trial of John “Jay” Brooks have released one of the largest witness lists for a criminal case in recent memory.

The list includes 354 possible witnesses, including investigators from 13 law enforcement agencies.

Brooks, 55, a millionaire formerly of Derry, is accused of organizing and funding the murder of Jack Reid Sr. in 2005.

Brooks allegedly believed Reid, a handyman, had stolen $650,000 from his home.

He could be sentenced to death if he is convicted of capital murder. His trial is scheduled for August.
