WEST PARIS – Betty M. Bryant, 78, formerly of South Paris, died Jan. 16, at Ledgeview Living Center.
She was born in West Bethel on Aug. 4, 1929, the daughter of Dean and Dorothy Morrill Martin. She attended Paris schools.
She had been a waitress at Bean’s Restaurant, a homemaker all of her life, and had worked at the Agway Store.
She married John C. Bryant, who passed away on Nov. 21, 2003.
She was a member of the Paris Fire Department Auxiliary. She enjoyed doing jigsaw puzzles.
She is survived by her daughter, Toni Hamlin of South Paris; two sons, Tim of Norway and Terry of Winthrop; granddaughters, Kimberly Hamlin of Brooklyn, N.Y., and Charlotte Bryant of Winthrop; a brother, Randall Martin of Middletown, Conn.; step-granddaughters, Karen Morrison, Lindsey Piirainen and Stephanie Piirainen; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by sisters Muriel Coburn, Barbara Newell, Colleen Tucker and Wilma McLaughlin; and a brother, Rodney Martin.
