Pittston – Marie Twitchell Patrick, 68, of Whitefield Road, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Thursday, July 3. She was born in Lewiston on Feb. 27, 1940, a daughter of Ronald and Alma Carver Newton.

After graduating from the Concord School of Nursing in New Hampshire, she was a registered nurse for 42 years. She was employed at both Pineland and the V.A. Togus.

She is survived by her mother, Alma Desjardins of Lewiston; her husband, Frank Patrick of Pittston; her two sons, Eric Deane Twitchell and wife, Cary Ruth, of McKean, Pa., and Joshua D. Patrick and wife, Maureen, of Windham; her brother, David W. Newton of Machias; four grandchildren, Charlotte, David, Briggs, and Grayce Twitchell; and loving family members Chandler Patrick and wife, Kathleen, of Pittston and Mrs. Muriel Patrick of South Gardiner.
