SIDNEY – Ernest Cayer, 84, of Rumford, died on July 5, at his daughter’s home in Sidney.
He was born on Dec. 1, 1923 to Angelina Bolduc and Joseph Cayer. He was a WW II veteran and enjoyed riding and walking and visiting with family.
He worked at the Oxford Paper company and Farrell’s of Rochester N.Y., until he moved back to Rumford, where he worked for Agway until he retired.
He was predeceased by Gladys Conrad Cayer, Aldeen Vigor Cayer and his son, Keith Cayer.
He survived by a daughter and four sons; Lila Berube and her husband, David, of Sidney; Ernest Cayer Jr. of Rochester N.Y.; Lucien Cayer and his wife, Sheila, of Rochester N.Y.; Clifford Cayer and his wife, Glennis, of Eliot; David Cayer of Rochester N.Y. Also surviving are two brothers, Fernald Cayer of Rumford, and Paul Cayer of West Peru; and a sister, Loella of Rumford.
