PARIS – Jerry Schneider of Morpho Productions will present his program, “What’s the Buzz in Your Back Yard!,” at 1 p.m. Wednesday, July 16, at the Paris Public Library. The show’s time has been rescheduled from earlier announcements.

Schneider will use a slide show and interactive dialogue to show insect life cycles, anatomy, camouflage adaptations and other “buggy” facts. The program will also include live insect demonstrations and conclude with a craft where participants decorate and keep their own “insect” T-shirt.

Schneider is a former children’s librarian and teacher who lives in Hardwick, Vt. He does approximately 100 shows a year in schools and libraries around the eastern and midwest United States.

He is the creator of the “Butterfly Game,” a board game that teaches facts about 25 North American butterflies.

The program, open to everyone in the community, is free, lasts approximately one hour and is for children of all ages. For more information, call the library at 743-6994 or e-mail [email protected].
