PORTLAND (AP) – One of the 10 Cape Elizabeth High School seniors accused of vandalizing the school last March is being forced to do community service, observe a curfew and pay a $400 fine.

All 10 teenagers were spared criminal prosecution as long as they stayed out of trouble, but 18-year-old James Bump violated the agreement within days of signing it.

Cumberland County District Attorney Stephanie Anderson says Bump pleaded guilty Tuesday to criminal mischief and criminal trespass for the Cape Elizabeth incident. He also pleaded guilty in Superior Court to operating a motor vehicle with alcohol in his system.

For the high school incident, Bump got a suspended 90-day jail sentence, with one year of probation.

He was also ordered to perform 80 hours of community service, adhere to a curfew and have substance abuse evaluation and pay a $400 fine.
