Lewiston – Yvonne M. Duguay, 102, of Auburn, passed away early Tuesday morning, July 8, at the Marshwood Healthcare Facility. She was born Sept. 21, 1905, in Mexico, Maine to Fredrick and Eugenie (Goguen) Girouard. She attended school in Mexico and lived there over 70 years before moving to Auburn in 1978. She was married to Joseph Oliver Duguay in July of 1937 and he passed away in November of 1967.

Yvonne owned a small clothing store on Main Street in Mexico for several years and also traveled extensively throughout Europe, Canada and Hawaii. At age 78, she even made a coast-to-coast driving trip with a good friend.

She leaves daughter, Jean Brown of Auburn; a grandson, Steven Nelson and wife Diane of Minot; three great-grandchildren, Amanda, Nicole and Steve; three great-great grandchildren Stephen, Emily and Lincoln; one brother, Albert Girouard of Rumford and several nieces and nephews. She also leaves a foster son Bill Giroux of Weymouth, Mass.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at Marshwood Healthcare Facility for the loving care she received while there and also to Androscoggin Home Care and Hospice for wonderful care she received from their staff.
