LEWISTON – A Mass of Christian Burial was held Wednesday for Doris Deraps at The Basilica of Saints Peter and Paul after prayers at The Fortin Group Funeral Home. The Rev. Father Seamus Griesbach celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. A eulogy and words of remembrance were given by one of her grandchildren at the conclusion of the Mass and her five daughters sang her favorite version of “The Lord’s Prayer” at the conclusion of the prayers at the cemetery. Pallbearers were Ronald, Marc and Peter Deraps, John Boulay, Alex Deraps and Michael Gendron. Arrangements were under the direction of The Fortin Group Funeral Home & Cremation Service of Auburn.
