LEWISTON – Marc R. Bissonette, 53, of Lewiston, died suddenly at his home on July 4.
He was born in Lewiston, March 9, 1955, to Roland and Madeline Rousseau Bissonette of Auburn. He was a long haul truck driver for many years, retiring early due to health. He was educated in Auburn schools and graduated from Edward Little High School, Class of 1973. He was married to Debrajean Colson for 24 years.
He will be best remembered by his family and friends by the pleasure he found in the simple things in life: yard work, tenting in the woods and working in the garage on street rods with his brother and nephew. He was family oriented, good hearted and never hesitated to help his homeless friends, despite having limited finances.
He is survived by his wife; two children, daughter, Laura Fecteau and husband, Jeff, of Auburn and son, Jesse Shepherd of Lisbon; five grandchildren, Kerry Michael, Taylor Shae, Kayleb Allen, Serena Lynn and Layla Rose; both parents, Madeline and Roland Bissonette; four sisters and two brothers, Cindy Halliday of Lewiston, Geary and Louise Bissonette of Auburn, Pam and Marcel Larose of Auburn, Bryant Bissonette of Auburn, Torey and Dan Murphy of Poland Spring and Melissa and Chuck Dwinell of Auburn.
