AUBURN – Central Maine Community College will host an informational program for nontraditional students interested in attending the college from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 16.

The program will include admissions and financial aid information, a campus tour and information on CMCC’s academic programs. Assistance completing the admissions application and Free Application for Federal Student Aid will be available. A special session for veterans to learn about the benefits available to them will also be held.

“Nontraditional students are students who have been out of high school for more than a couple years or who stopped attending college at one point and it can be intimidating for them to come back. This is a wonderful opportunity for nontraditional students to visit the college in a relaxed atmosphere,” said Director of Admissions Betsy Libby. “There is no commitment involved, but rather a time for visitors to see the campus and learn about opportunities available to them and speak to current non-traditional students about their experiences at the college.”

Welcome and light refreshments will begin at 5:30 p.m. in Kirk Hall. There is still time to enroll for the fall semester. Fall classes start Sept. 2. In addition to the Auburn campus, classes are offered throughout Franklin, Lincoln and Oxford counties. Call the Admissions Office at 755-5334 with questions.
