GRAY – Cole Farms erased a 2-0 deficit with three runs in the fourth inning for a 3-2 victory over Brunswick in American Legion Zone III baseball Thursday.
Taylor Valente struck out six and drove in the winning run with a triple to lead Cole Farms (7-6).
Brunswick (4-7) built a 2-0 edge with two runs on errors in the third inning.
Cole Farms rallied in the fourth when Nate Johnson singled.
He scored on a Trevor McCutcheon single. Lucas Chase tied the game when he scored on a double steal.
Valente followed with a triple that plated McCutcheon.
Bessey Motors 14, Smith-Tobey 0
PARIS – Bessey Motors sent 15 batters to the plate during a 10-run eruption in the first inning and coasted to a 14-0 triumph over Smith-Tobey in Legion Zone III baseball action Thursday.
Matt Verrier led the outburst with a two-run homer, while Dan MIllett chipped in with a two-run triple and an RBI single in the opening frame.
Tucker Hill fired a four-hitter over five innings, striking out six and walking two for Bessey (9-2).
Gayton 12, New Auburn 2
AUBURN – Eddie West drove in five runs and struck out seven batters to pace Gayton Post to a convincing 12-2 win over New Auburn Thursday in Legion action.
West scattered four hits, struck out seven and allowed just two runs in the second. He had a pair of hits, including a three-run homer in the fifth.
Travis Dyke drove in three runs while Kyle Nagle and Jeff Keene each had two hits for Gayton (10-2).
New Auburn (7-5) got a double from Cody Goddard and a triple from Adam Lutz.
NOC 11, Swansey/Torrey 0
DIXFIELD – Winning pitcher John Smith threw a two-hitter without a walk as North Oxford County (6-6) used a 14-hit attack and glided past Swansey/Torrey (2-10) with an 11-0 victory in Legion action Thursday.
NOC jumped out to 5-0 lead after the first three innings and went on to pile up a total of six runs in the fourth and sixth innings.
Keith Brennick lead the way on offense, belting out a two-run single and a one-run double. Derek Daly had three hits and Smith helped his cause with three hits, too.
Monmouth 11, Waterville 6
WALES – Ethan Guerette, Michael Brennan and David Ricker had three hits apiece to lead Monmouth to an 11-6 win over Waterville in Zone II.
Monmouth (10-2) took the lead for good with four runs in the third inning. Ricker added a two-run home run in the fourth inning to finish with three RBIs. Josh Prue added two hits and three RBIs.
Pitcher Justin Denbow fanned seven batters.
Kyle Bishop led Waterville with four hits, including a solo home run.
