I knew it would happen, the minute I heard talk of a gazebo – here comes a haven for the children.
Did those dreamers in Buckfield really think older people would use it, or that working people would spend time there? And didn’t they know that children could care less about flowers and bushes?
Of course, it sits right in front of the firehouse, so it probably won’t be long before it burns, just like the food shack down the bank on the football field.
I remember what Selectman Oscar Gammon said last winter: “I don’t want to see any town employee or tax dollars going into a skating rink for the kids.”
The same can be said about the gazebo.
Let those “dreamers” take care of it.
