LIVERMORE FALLS – Philip C. Lyman, 77, a resident of Bemis Street in Livermore Falls, died Friday, July 11, at his home with his family at his side.

He was born on April 26, 1931, in East Livermore, the son of Chester and Barbara (Hemingway) Lyman and attended the schools of Livermore Falls. He served in the U.S. Army as a private for one year. On July 2, 1955, he married Jeannine Goulet at St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay.

He worked in the coating prep department at International Paper Co., Otis Mill in Jay, later known as James River Paper Co. He was a communicant of St. Rose of Lima Church in Jay. Phil enjoyed camping, gardening, mining, woodworking and especially spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years of Livermore Falls; his mother, Barbara Lyman of Jay; three daughters, Tammy Lyman and her companion, Mark Larzelere, of Jay, Debbie Fournier of Livermore Falls and Donna Barbato and her husband, Scott, of New York; a brother, James Lyman of Orland; a sister, Ada Jackman and her husband, George, of Jay; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
