RANGELEY – A surprise family reunion and cookout was held recently in honor of the 60th wedding anniversary of Emery and Dorinne Scribner of Rangeley. Daughters of the couple, Daphne Scribner and Donna Wilcox, hosted the event.
Decorations were in aqua, rose and white, with a white carnation centerpiece, corsage and boutonniere. Photos of their wedding and 25th and 50th wedding anniversaries were displayed on a table.
An anniversary cake, in aqua and rose on white frosting, with the original bride and bridegroom cake top, was served. Big Band era music played in the background.
Mr. Scribner and the former Dorinne Alger were married June 23, 1948, at the Congregational Church in West Lebanon, N.H.
