OXFORD – Ricky Rolfe tuned up for next weekend’s TD Banknorth 250 in style with another convincing Late Model win at Oxford Plains Speedway, his fifth in the last six races.

Rolfe rode out three late caution flags after taking the lead from Daren Ripley with 14 circuits remaining in the 40-lap event.

“Those were the longest seven laps of my life,” Rolfe said. “I just wanted to finish two spots ahead of Travis Adams and take the point lead so we’ll have a provisional to fall back on in the 250 if we don’t qualify on our own.”

Rolfe has been defeated only one in weekly competition since the end of May.

Shawn Martin snuck through the late-race confusion to claim second, followed by Billy Childs Jr.

The Late Model encounter highlighted a 16-race card with a whopping nine features.

David Tripp scored his first Strictly Stock victory of the season. In twin Mini Stock main events, it was Justin Karkos winning round one with Bill Childs Sr. claiming the nightcap.

Triple Runnin’ Rebel features went to Troy Jordan, Josh Childs and Jamie Leavitt. Jake Burns captured his speedway-best seventh victory of the season in Sport Truck, and Max Zachem captured his second straight visit with the New England Legends Cars.
