Clothes giveaway
FARMINGTON – The Franklin County Children’s Task Force will have a clothing giveaway in its Clothing Exchange from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday, July 21 to 31, to make way for fall clothing that will come.
Anyone needing summer or winter clothing for their children who wear sizes newborn to 5T are encouraged to visit the Children’s Task Force at 113 Church St.
There is no need to bring a bag of clothes when attending the clothing exchange at this time.
Bake sale
FARMINGTON – In conjunction with Farmington’s annual Strawberry Festival, United Way of the Tri-Valley Area will have a bake sale from noon to 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 25, at the United Way office, 232 Broadway.
Whole frozen pies will be available, as well as an assortment of other treats, including slices of strawberry-rhubarb pie.
Net proceeds from the bake sale will benefit United Way and the 22 member agencies it helps support.
Lobster lunch
FARMINGTON – St. Luke’s Episcopal Church lobster roll lunches will be available at the Meetinghouse Park during the Strawberry Festival from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday, July 25.
Bag lunches can also be ordered and delivered on that day. To pre-order call 645-2639 and leave an order or a number. Lunches include clear meat lobster roll, chips, homemade brownie and beverage $9.50. Lobster roll and beverage will be offered on Broadway on Saturday, July 26, beginning at 11 a.m. To pre-order, call 645-2639 and leave an order or a number.
