BATH (AP) – Police say they have filed drug charges against a couple from Bath after uncovering evidence of a methamphetamine laboratory in a shed behind their home.

The Maine Drug Enforcement Agency on Tuesday charged 42-year-old Walter Kruse with trafficking and furnishing methamphetamine.

Thirty-five-year-old Beth Grasser was arrested on an unrelated charge of aggravated trafficking in prescription drugs.

Drug agents said they searched the Shaw Street home Tuesday afternoon and found components used to make the highly addictive methamphetamine.

Police say three children who were living in the house with the adults have been released to the care of other adults.
