MECHANIC FALLS – Uncle Andy’s Digest has promoted Jim Marston to president. He has been instrumental in taking the company from its two-person operation to a nine-person team.

Marston joined the company as a third owner in August 2002, after a 19-year career with Penmor Lithographers. Taking the pen name Jimbo, he joined Uncle Andy and Big Gare, and together the second edition of Uncle Andy’s Digest was born – then called the Greater Portland edition. Now, as the majority owner, he oversees all aspects of running the day-to-day operations.

Marston is also on the board of directors for the Sebago Lakes Chamber of Commerce, the treasurer of the Mechanic Falls Recreation Committee, and coaches baseball and softball teams. He lives in Mechanic Falls with his wife and their two children.
