PARIS – The last person indicted in connection with a River Valley crime spree in December entered a plea in Oxford County Superior Court on Friday.
Joshua Hodgkins, 25, of 428 Waldo Street in Rumford, pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, aggravated criminal mischief and theft.
The spree on Dec. 9 included the theft of three vehicles, all of which were damaged, as well as damage to Ellis Pond Variety in Roxbury and Mills Market in Andover. Police estimated total damages at over $25,000.
Hodgkins’ cousin Benjamin Hodgkins, 19, of Roxbury, and Scott Pike, 25, of Lewiston were also charged in the spree. All three were indicted in February on four counts of unauthorized use of property, three counts of aggravated criminal mischief, two counts of burglary, three counts of criminal mischief, and theft.
All three men pleaded guilty to two counts of burglary, one count of aggravated criminal mischief and one count of theft.
Those charges state that the men burglarized a Rumford recreational building and Ellis Pond Variety, damaged a pickup truck and stole over $1,000 in food, cigarettes and beer from Ellis Pond Variety.
Hodgkins received a one-year deferred disposition, during which time he must pay $2,500 in restitution to the five victims of the spree and have no contact with Pike. If he completes the disposition, Hodgkins may receive a suspended 364-day jail sentence, one year of probation and pay an additional $2,500 in restitution.
Benjamin Hodgkins received the same sentence after pleading last week. Pike was sentenced to serve one year of a three-year sentence and pay $5,000 in restitution.
