RUMFORD – Three romance writers – two from Rumford, Julie Cohen and Kathy (Dunn) Love, and one from the United Kingdom, Anna Louise Luciais – will be at the Rumford Public Library Wednesday, July 23.
They will read, sign and discuss their books beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Growing up in Rumford and working as a page in the public library, Cohen had three dreams: moving to England, writing books and marrying Paul McCartney. Well, the last one didn’t work out, but she has accomplished the first two, and has become an international best-seller. “His For the Taking,” set in Maine, was short-listed for the UK Romantic Novelists’ Association 2008 Romance Prize. Her ninth book, “Honey Trap,” about a private detective-turned-aromatherapist who goes on tour with a rock band, is scheduled for release this month. Her Web site is www.julie-cohen.com.
Love is a USA Today best-selling author of steamy paranormal romances. Her latest book with Kensington Brava, “I Want You to Want Me,” is one of a series featuring The Impalers, a New Orleans vampire rock band. She has also published four books about the vampire/werewolf Young family (“Fangs for the Memories,” “My Sister is a Werewolf”), and a contemporary romance trilogy set in the small Maine town of Millbrook (“Getting What You Want,” “Wanting What You Get” and “Wanting Something More”).

Luciais is celebrating the release of her first book, romantic suspense “Run Among Thorns,” in the United States. With national parks and world heritage sites on her doorstep, Luciais lives in the beautiful, wild, and rugged landscapes that inspire her.
