AUBURN – Stanley F. Crowley, 76, of 26 Bolster St., Auburn, died Wednesday, July 16, at the Androscoggin Hospice House after a long illness.

He was born in Bowdoin, Oct. 1, 1931, the son of Douglas and Jeannette (Carey) Crowley and had been a resident of this community all of his life.

He was a self-employed roofer and mason for many years until his retirement.

He was a lifetime member of the South End Club. He enjoyed playing pool, hunting and fishing.

He is survived by five children; three brothers, Normand and Dennis Crowley, both of Sabattus and Robert Crowley and his wife, Violet, of Lewiston; two sisters, Sheila Cash and her husband, Jacob, and Beverly Crowley, both of Poland; and a niece, Kimberly Cash of Auburn.

He was predeceased by a son, Stanley McCluskey; and two brothers, Lawrence and Gerald Crowley.
