CANTERBURY, N.H. (AP) – A 27-year-old Arizona man has been arrested by New Hampshire State Police in Canterbury following a car chase through multiple towns.

It started when a trooper tried to stop Jeremy Pelletier of Superior, Ariz., early Saturday in Belmont. Police say Pelletier didn’t stop and headed into Tilton, turning onto several side roads and eventually into Sanbornton.

The pursuit led back to Tilton, where police say Pelletier struck at least two parked cars, a building, a statue and collided with the trooper’s cruiser.

Officers assisted with the chase, which continued into Franklin, Salisbury, Boscawen, Concord, and involved another collision with the original trooper before Pelletier lost control of his car and went off the road.

Pelletier has been jailed on $50,000 bail and is to be arraigned Monday on charges of reckless conduct, disobeying a police office, and other charges.
