BETHEL – Gregory Irving Cummings, 56, of Bethel, died at his residence on Friday, July 18, following a long illness.
He was born in Rumford on July 11, 1952, the son of Irving A. and Ruth (Howe) Cummings. He was educated in Bethel schools, and graduated from Telstar High School in 1970.
Greg had worked for Daniels Construction as a construction foreman at Sunday River for 10 years, and since 1992 had been a self-employed builder.
He married Kathy Keniston at Bryant Pond on May 26, 1972.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and trapping and being at one with nature.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy, of Bethel; his mother, Ruth Cummings, of Bethel; two sons, Matthew Cummings, and Mitchell Cummings and his wife, Kristin, all of Bethel; two brothers, Rex Cummings and Andy Cummings, both of Bethel; two sisters, Donna Douglas of Bethel, and Mary Robbins of Taccoa, Ga.; and two granddaughters, Emily Cummings and Evalyn Cummings, both of Bethel.
