WINDHAM (AP) – Eight divers from the Maine Warden Service have resumed the search in Windham for a 19-year-old man who was last seen jumping off a fast-moving boat and into Highland Lake.
Lt. Pat Dorian says a total of 16 wardens were working to recover the body of Patrick Mackerron, who is missing and is now presumed to have drowned.
Officials say Mackerron and 20-year-old Nathan Jackson of Casco jumped into the water Friday afternoon from a power boat that was traveling at an estimated 30 mph.
Jackson came to the surface but Mackerron did not.
