MEMPHIS, Tenn. – Mary Beth Caffey, a member of Pathway Community Church, Lewiston, participated in the 18th annual Cooperative Baptist Fellowship General Assembly on June 19 and 20.
More than 2,000 Fellowship Baptists attended the assembly. Highlights included more than 80 ministry workshops, a celebration of missional churches, assembly-wide prayer and discernment and missions projects throughout Memphis. Additionally, 18 new global missions field personnel were commissioned at First Baptist Church of Memphis.
Keynote addresses were given by Daniel Vestal, CBF executive coordinator, and Lauran Bethell, Baptist minister and human rights advocate. Singer and songwriter Bethany Dillon performed during worship sessions at the two-day event. Krystaal, a music group of three brothers from Congo, also performed.
CBF is a fellowship of more than 3,000 Baptist Christians and more than 1,800 Baptist churches.
