RUMFORD – Julie Cohen, Kathy Love (Dunn) and Anna Louise Lucia and their friend, Anna, from the UK will appear at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, July 23, in the Public Room at the Rumford Public Library for book readings and signings. All are welcome.

Benefit supper

DIXFIELD – A benefit supper for Steve Ellis will be held from 5 p.m. until sold out Saturday, July 26, at the Dixfield Fire Station. There will be spaghetti and meatballs, beans and hot dogs, dinner rolls, coleslaw and homemade desserts for $5 a person.

Proceeds will go to Ellis, who has been diagnosed with lung cancer. He is receiving radiation and chemotherapy. Contact Gene Ellis at 562-8270 for more information.
