LEWISTON – Juliette B. Goding, 86, a resident of Poland, died Friday, July 18, with family by her side at St. Marguerite d’ Youville Pavilion after a long illness.

She was born in Millinocket, Oct. 14, 1921, the daughter of George and Leona (Ouellette) Paradis. She moved in her early years to this area working in the local textile industry until her retirement.

She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church, the Queen’s Guild of St. Joseph Parish, , Holy Cross Senior Citizens, Horizons 55 and Covenant 50.

Her hobbies included pretty punch, crocheting, and making Christmas tree ornaments.

Survivors include two sons, Laureat Paradis and his wife, Joanne, of Topsham and Rodney Paradis and his wife, Cecilia, of Lisbon; four daughters, Yvonne Paradis of Lisbon, Patricia Turmenne of Poland, Pauline Thibodeau of New Britain, Conn., and Diane Lowndes of California; two brothers, Alverie Paradis of Hopkinton, Mass., and Fernand Paradis of Englewood, Fla.: one sister, Yvette Jutras of Lewiston; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by her first husband, Laureat Paradis in 1958; her second husband, William Goding in 1987; one sister, Claudette White; and one granddaughter, Stacy Turmenne.
