SOUTH PARIS – Maine Centers for Women, Work, and Community is offering a free, 4-week assertive communications training workshop beginning July 23, and then on consecutive Wednesdays, July 30, Aug. 6, and Aug. 13, from 6-8 p.m. at the Western Maine University and Community College Center, 232 Main St.

The workshop will show attendees how to communicate in an honest and expressive, but not pushy, assertive manner that can help people express themselves positively, and respect others at the same time.

All services are free.
