FARMINGTON – While investigating a forged check complaint, police received more information about three people suspected of taking part in nearly 20 burglaries over a two-year span, said Detective Marc Bowering on Monday.
Andrew Burton, 21, Strong, Danielle Adams, 21, and Justin Rundlett, 23, both of Jay, were charged with multiple burglary or theft charges, he said.
The burglaries happened in Farmington, Jay, Fayette, Industry, the Porter Lake area and Chesterville.
Checks stolen during the burglaries were forged in Wilton, Farmington, Avon, Carrabassett Valley and Stratton, he said.
While departments didn’t have suspects at the time of the burglaries, during an interview last week about a forged check, Burton started telling police more about the burglaries, thefts and forgeries.
Burton was charged by Farmington police and faces a court date of Sept. 11 in Franklin County Superior Court.
Adams and Rundlett were arrested on warrants for unrelated matters by Franklin County deputies. They were interviewed and charged with the burglary incidents and will also appear in court on Sept. 11.
Several stolen items were found in Jay and Fayette, Bowering added.
