LEWISTON – Florence Elizabeth Jordan Carignan Larson, 91, formerly of the Roak Block in Auburn, died Wednesday, July 23, at St. Mary’s d’Youville Pavilion.
She was born July 2, 1917, in Laconia, N.H., a daughter of Walter and Corabelle (Packard) Jordan. She was the last survivor of 11 children. She married Herve Carignan on May 22, 1936, in Laconia, N.H. He died in March 1970. They had one son, James Walter Carignan, currently of Harpswell.
On Feb. 24, 1973, she married Arnold Larson of Bristol, Conn., and with him moved to Lewiston to be near her son, Jim Carignan and his wife, Sally Larson Carignan, daughter of Arnold, and their four children. Arnold died in 1988.
She is survived by her son, Jim Carignan and his wife, Sally; their four children, Mark Carignan and his wife, Sherri, of Yarmouth, Steven Carignan and his wife, Stacey, of Waterloo, Iowa, Paul Carignan and his wife, Sally, of Pownal and Sarah Belanger and her husband, Michael, of Brunswick; three stepchildren, Lee Larson of Lyme, N.H., Paul Larson of Norwalk, Conn., and Mary Larson of Meadville, Pa.; 11 grandchildren; and 19 great-grandchildren.
