LEWISTON – Leo L. Maheux, 90, of Bradley St., Lewiston, died Wednesday, July 23, at d’Youville Pavilion.
He was born in Auburn, June 29, 1918, the son of Louis and Marie Louise (Morin) Maheux and attended schools in Auburn. After his service, he worked as a foreman for Lumbard & Watson Shoe, Clark Shoe and various other local shoe shops, until his retirement.
He enjoyed fishing, bowling, going out to eat, family gatherings and especially enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Abbie (Michaud) Maheux, whom he married on May 9, 1946; his daughter, Doris Morin of Lewiston; his granddaughter, Michelle Howe and her husband, Steven, of Lewiston; and his great-grandchildren, Cody and Abbie of Lewiston.
He was predeceased by his 14 brothers and sisters; and his infant daughter, Pauline Marie.
The family wishes to thank Dr. Satya Singh and his nurse, Karen and also to the staff on 2 East at d’Youville Pavilion for the wonderful care they gave to Leo and his family.
