PORTLAND (AP) – Police say two New Hampshire men have been arrested in connection with a savage beating in Portland’s Old Port that critically injured a Navy man.
Twenty-two-year-old Christopher Hartt and 25-year-old Thomas Hartt of Manchester were arrested Wednesday for aggravated assault.
Police say the May 25 assault occurred after a harbor cruise when the men made inappropriate remarks to a woman who was with Petty Officer 3rd Class Odelmo Robinson. When Robinson told the men to stop, they allegedly repeatedly punched and kicked him.
Police say the suspects and Robinson did not know each other, and characterized the assault as a random act of violence.
