PARIS – Physical comedian Tom Murphy will bring his bagful of disciplines, including a quirky acting style, acrobatics, dance and various circus arts, to Celebration Barn Theater Saturday, July 26.
Dubbed by critics as “The Chaos Poet,” he will present his show, “Murphy’s Law: Bullet Proof Comedy,” beginning at 8 p.m.
Murphy’s style is upfront, honest-to-goodness, in-your-face – yet sensitive – physical comedy. His formal training in physical education and ballet spawned a unique style of theater that blends athleticism with emotions. And, it’s slapstick.
He has toured primarily in Europe and the United States, where he developed a solid reputation as a theater clown. He is no stranger to Broadway either, where he has performed his solo show at the New Victory Theater.
The show is geared to the entire family.
