SEBAGO (AP) – A 5-year-old boy who had been reported missing drowned in Sebago Lake.

Emergency crews found the boy in the water off a private beach less than an hour after he was reported missing from a home on North West River Road on Friday afternoon.

The boy was taken to a hospital where he was pronounced dead.

State police did not release the child’s name Saturday. Police say the drowning was accidental.
