Auburn – Fernand J. Breton, 82, of 26 Bolster St., formerly of 25 Pine St., Lewiston, passed away on Wednesday, July 23, at Bolster Heights Nursing Home after a long battle with lung cancer.

He was born in Lewiston, July 3, 1926, the son of Real and Yvonne Caron Breton.

Prior to his retirement he was employed in local shoe shops and was a pallbearer for Fortin’s Funeral Home.

He was a communicant of Ss. Peter and Paul Church and was a longtime member of the Knights of Columbus Council 106, in Lewiston, where he enjoyed meeting his brother knights for a game of pool.

He had also been a longtime member of the Lewiston Snow Shoe Club.

He had many life long friends and acquaintances.

His only known survivors are cousins.
