NORTHWOOD, N.H. (AP) – Police in Northwood, New Hampshire, say a woman has died following a motorcycle crash that left her husband seriously injured.

Fifty-two-year-old Judith Rae Porter of Raymond died shortly after the accident on Route 4 Saturday morning. Police say her husband, 46-year-old Cornelius Porter was in serious condition at Concord Hospital.

Lt. Glen Drolet of the Northwood Police Department said the Porters had been traveling westbound when traffic in front of them suddenly stopped.

As Cornelius Porter, who was driving, tried to bring the motorcycle to a stop, the bike went into a skid and then flipped, throwing both from it.

Police said the Porters weren’t wearing helmets.
