LEWISTON – Funeral Mass for Leo L. Maheux was celebrated Monday at Holy Family Church after prayers from the Guy B. Dostie Funeral Home. The Rev. Nathan March celebrated the Mass and recited committal prayers at St. Peter’s Cemetery. Leo’s wife, Abbie, of 62 years, and their daughter Doris Morin folded the pall on his casket. Leo’s granddaughter Michelle Howe then placed a crucifix on his casket. Leo’s granddaughter Michelle and his two loving great-grandchildren Cody and Abbie presented the offertory gifts. After the committal prayers, members of the Army National Guard played “taps,” folded the U.S. flag, and presented it to Leo’s wife in honor of his service to his country during World War II. Pallbearers were Steven Howe, Phil Roy, Skippy (Clifford) Gamache and Romeo Lepage.
