It was a refreshing change to read a letter from Judson Duncan (July 24) that was not just another irrational screed about how Republicans have really been running everything since World War II.

Oops, I forgot, President Franklin Delano Roosevelt was just a puppet managed by Republicans from behind the scenes.

In his latest irrational screed, he labeled John McCain as a nasty little man with a bad temper. I will have to take Duncan’s word on the matter.

If voters want to elect a chain-smoking, inexperienced socialist, vote for Barack Obama.

The Maine electorate will give him a landslide.
